CDBurnerXP

Quick and Fast: Burns CDs and physically burns DVDs and Blu-ray disks. For DVDs, you will need to change your movie to DVD files or ISO images with another program such as DVD Flick or DVDStyler. There is probably something of the same thing for Blu-ray disks.

Where to get it: http://www.cdburnerxp.se/help/Intro/cdburnerxp Windows 2000/XP. I think Vista won’t be supported(?).

CDBurnerXP is ok. I had problems at first with the amount of music I had being too large for the CD I used, but that mostly was operator error. The main layouts inside the program are for audio CDs and data CDs.

As I think about it though, I haven’t had any sucess with this program. I try to use it and then end up using another program. I’d recommend using another freeware I’ve found called Totally Free Burner which will have a chapter coming in March 2009.

Video CDs(VCDs): These are not (and probably never will) be supported. That’s what the website says.

DVDs: You cannot change your movie file into DVD burnable files (.IFO, .VOB, etc.), so you’ll need to use DVD Flick or DVDStyler to do this. For more info, go to http://www.cdburnerxp.se/help/Data/create-video-dvd The tutorial uses DVD Flick.

Blu-ray disks: I have no idea. Might work the same as DVDs. I have no desire or need to make Blu-rays, so I don’t care.

Tutorials: All the tutorials you need are on the website.

License and Use: You may use for commercial purposes. See http://www.cdburnerxp.se/help/Intro/license for more exact info.
