Celtx

Quick and Fast: The One Stop Shop for producers and writers, for Development, Preproduction and Production. Handles all the paper work for your film, from script, to storyboard, to script breakdown, to schedules and calender. AMAZING!!!

Where to get it: http://celtx.com/ Windows, Mac and Linux.

Celtx is the one program most people mention when I tell them about this blog. After studying it, I can see why! When I started learning about it, I was amazed! I hate paperwork and many of my films have fallen through because I drew the storyboard by hand, typed and fomatted the screenplay in Microsoft Word and didn’t make a schedule because I thought: “Ah, who cares?”.

But no more! With Celtx, I see my problems fading off into the sunset…at least until postproduction rolls around. Anyway, Celtx looks to be just about perfect if you dislike paperwork like me.

Tutorials: There is a forum, wiki and FAQ at http://celtx.com/support.html

But the best place to go is Here, where you can watch movies showing all the features of Celtx: script writing, storyboard creation, script breakdown, scheduling, reformatting your script for a novel or comic book and a lot more!

License and Use: CePL, which is somewhat like the license Mozilla uses. As far as I can tell, the license does not say that you can’t use Celtx for commercial purposes. Read License Here.
