Quick and Fast: A very good animation alternative to Adobe Flash!
Where to get it: http://synfig.org/Main_Page Windows and Linux only at this point, the Mac version had a ton of problems and isn’t done yet.
I haven’t used this too much, but it look easier to animate with than Flash - you don’t have to make “motion tweens”, just add keyframes as you move objects around the screen. There is limited support format-wise, but SVG and Flash support is coming soon. The interface resembles GIMP in many ways. I can see this program becoming as great for 2D animation as Blender is for 3D animation.
