My entry to the 2007-2008 Videomaker Contest.

This short is my final project for Film Production Workshop

From my early acting career.

Darkness is a music video created for my partners band Dorian Myshkin. It was my first attempt at using a bluescreen and creating complex layering of video files. All of the footage was shot in five hours with only a vague idea of how the finished project would appear (yeah I know…) so the greatest challenge to create a sense of flow in the footage. I tried to accomplish this by adding in a sense of time passing, day/night/morning but in the end decided that I should have gone back to film some more footage. Anyways… enjoy the song and hopefully the video; I promise a cleaner version next time. (At least a cleaner key for the bluescreen…)Greg.

A rather simple, but remarkably powerful video. Just a lockdown shot and costume changes, but it will make you think.
