Video Communties

I am sure by now, you either heard of these video communities or you’re already part of them. For this post I would like to share two video communities that lets you upload, share and edit videos whether or not you’ve heard or haven’t heard about them.

  • Kaltura.com

The best way to describe Kaltura is that this site is a combination of Youtube and a wiki. Kaltura’s platform includes unique collaboration functionalities that allow groups of users to ‘lean forward’ while creating and consuming rich media together. This active collaboration increases user engagement by adding a social element to the online video experience, and creates enhanced monetization and advertising opportunities for authors and publishers.

  • Open Source Cinema

Open Source Cinema is more or less like Kaltura. Open source cinema basically has 2 functions, for users to watch and create videos. You can watch some raw footage, some recently remixed video or upload one of your own. If you opt to create, you can download some footage or use one of your own, edit it with other Open Source Cinema members and upload it again for the rest of the community to view.

To know more about Kaltura click through this link. Know more about Open source cinema by clicking here.
