Making it’s way around the web today is the story that YouTube is now offering select content in HD. While YouTube has offered a “high quality” mode for select content for some time now, this takes it one step further bringing the resolution up to a full 720p.

Above is an example of the new YouTube HD, you can take a look at yourself. The video looks crisp and clear in smaller resolutions, however when you go full screen, odds are your screen size is larger than 1280×720, so you still get some upsizing. It would be nice to have an option to view the video at native resolution, rather than just small and full screen.

Still, YouTube is in the early stages of streaming HD content, and anything they can do to improve the quality of video on their site can only be a good thing.
