What separates Openfilm.com, from other online video sharing sites, is that it is a site that’s made by filmmakers for filmmakers. This means that its an online sharing site for people who care about the craft of making video.

The first thing I like about Openfilm.com is that there is a screening process. While anyone can upload to the site, not everything makes the cut. So that handheld shot of your baby throwing up might not make the cut, but your little comedy skit about parenting probably will. The strategy behind this is to just take the cream of online video, and leave quantity to places like YouTube. This also has the added effect of making it a place that is fun to get in and just surf around for good videos.
