This is a promo video for a company based near Dallas, TX. They do disaster data recovery and backup. I used the Casio EX-F1 for the 600fps footage, a DoP had his RED 4K shooting at 120fps, and I had a consumer Canon camera for the close up shots near the server as it's getting hit.

It was a very exciting project to work on. Hope y'all like it!

Hello,

I'm Gilbert.

I have been working on a feature docu-comedy (with some serious parts) that is scheduled to have its premiere at a university theatre in the area later this month. It is about 88 minutes long. It is my first feature film. Most of the interactions are with people who may not be considered real actors, but there are a couple of cameos with TV personalities.

Here is a trailer/prevue:

<span style="font-family: Franklin Gothic Medium;"><span style="font-size: small;">http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oYd6IO-qmM</span></span>

Thank you for reading. If you watch the trailer, thank you.

This is a video I made with some friends of mine for my birthday party. I like to make shorts, so I had everyone over for cake and videomaking. We had fun, and the final product reflects that I hope. I had to deinterlace for YouTube, but besides that, what things would you recommend changing or watching for on future shorts? Thanks!

This is a teaser for a video that will be released this Friday. It involves guns, computers, and explosions. I'm sure you all know what awesomeness that implies. :-P

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7inxPhMpvr0

The video was shot on the RED, Sony EX1, Casio EX-F1, and a consumer Canon HD camcorder. The "shoot" was a "blast". :-P
I'm really looking forward to releasing the full video this Friday. T'was a wonderful experience.

Hello VideoMaker gang, I posted about a week ago but the code was bad - corrupted so I'm giving it a new shot. Let me say I'm a novice not a pro, I do this for fun only. This is the 9th video I ever made. After it finally showed up on the forum with the help of some member I got two responses. One was from this old school dude, stuck in the 80's the other was more constructive but the guy was riding coat tails. This is not a movie or documentary or a news reel, it is an artistic expression, a new form of paint on video canvas, I know it's flowed in some areas bit would still appreciate opinion and subjective advice, Thank you!

This video was shot with the Canon 5D. After some research , I decided to go with the 5D rather than my XH-A1(and renting an DOF adapter).

Work flow was much easier with the 5D, so I was happy with my decision. Hopefully this video helps others make a choice, the new 7D should be another good option and cheaper. Hope you enjoy the video.

Hi all,

Longtime VM subscriber, new to the forums but I thought I'd share a short film I made last year for a Halloween-themed competition -- now that it's that time of year again, I thought it might be a good time to get it out there.

Comments and constructive criticism are, of course, very greatly appreciated. Enjoy!

We recently interviewed Michael Ciccone of Happy Days Films about the production of a new music video for Australian act, Graveyard Train. Well... the music video is finally complete and here for your viewing pleasure. You can catch the interview with Michael next week.

http://www.projuice.org/GraveyardTrain.html

It was shot in Victoria, Australia on the RED camera and looks amazing!!

Who are Graveyard Train? Graveyard Train ripped chains and hammers from hell to forge Horror Country. They are the pioneers of a new genre that will make you cry and curse and scream. Ghost stories, murder ballads and tales of redemption are crooned through melodies plucked directly from the afterlife.

Its a whole month of constant mission and what mistake you make will have concequeces.

This might be due to the camera I selected. I have a Sony HVR HD1000N. When the sun goes down and the lights go up I loose color definition and the footage is grainy.

I guess manually setting the white balance to the lights will help the color but what can I do about the grainy footage? Videos are at: http://www.youtube.com/user/dagunner

Here's a great music video by Aussie artist, Nick Roy. It involves live action, 3D animation and 2D image replacements.

Dangerous Game

Nick Roy is performing onstage when an evil man with a voodoo doll
starts toying with him. Striking the doll with needles our singer is
launched into uncontrollable spasms. When the evil man is uncovered, he
throws the doll away, sending Nick flying with it to a bar top. They
stand, dust themselves off and begin a dance routine before launching
into the streets of Melbourne on a dance tour.

A fun video shot on a Sony EX1 and edited with Final Cut Pro.
Compositing and grading was completed in Adobe After Effects with the
3D work completed in Maya.

Hi, I'm Elijah. I'm a self-taught director (self-taught as in watching others and trying to emulate) and a friend of mine and myself during my last semester of college decided why not put together a web series. Each episode is around 5 mins long, so it's not taking up much of your time. I did not take this task lightly. I really wanted to do my best. Sadly, I know I could have done better, but I guess that's natural.

If anything, what I'm most looking for is critique. I know there's the obvious (i.e. in some episodes the continuity of objects, time of day changing, etc.) but any comments on it would be really helpful.

Premise: Eric Poole is in love with a girl that already has a boyfriend. The only way he can think of to possibly attract her is to create a pheromone. The problem with messing with chemicals, though, is you can never be sure of the side effects.

Trailer
