I'm trying to produce a video with clips shot in the 16:9 format that would show a black letter box on top and bottom when view with a 4:3 TV instead of a full screen with a elongated look. I use Premiere 6 for editing and Creator 6 for the DVD authoring. I've tried different export movie settings to no avail. I'm open to any ideas or suggestions. Thanks a million!

I think its an apsect ratio problem you got, keep the anamorphic 16:9 ratio on everything, and then when played on 4:3 it should just be a small wide screen and not stretched, the best way is to try different routes and roads to figure it out. I would suggest not using Creator 6, it stretched the crap out of pictures and it might be messing up your ratio presets. Try something simple or maybe go out and buy a program, I know there are good basic ones free from download.com. But I think you problem might be a combo of both subjects i discussed. Hope that helped.

You need the right DVD authoring software to do 16:9.
It does not sound like Creator 6 support 16:9 at all.

I'm using Sony Click to DVD authoring software. It's simple but I can create 16:9 DVD format that plays on 4:3 TV with black bars on top and bottom and full screen on 16:9 TV.
