Best format for straight to DVD production

   What is the best format (24p, 30p, 60i, etc...) and resolution (1080i, 720p, etc...) for a production that will not be sent to film, but plan to be a blu-ray and standard DVD release?

   1080p is considered "Full High Definition" and typically delivered though Blu ray at a frame rate of 24p.  30p is good too.  60p isn't available yet for 1080p, but I believe "they" are devising a plan to sell it to us in the future...
