Hi there. I'd like to film a doco on my work fabricating kustom bikes and I'd like to produce this footage into a DVD. Most of the shoot will be indoors and tripod mounted and self operated. I have a real small work shop so a camera that can take a wide angle lense will be a must. There will be some action footage but only of bikes ridding on the road being filmed from a car, still the light can flicker alot doing this.  I have a small bugdet of $1k / 1.5K so I'm looking for my best consumer model option. Ebay or new is fine. Cheers Twig

With your price range, I'd go with one of Canon's prosumer models: Canon GL1, GL2, XL1, or XL2. If you're look to get HD, take look at some of JVC's Everio High-Definition models.
