Capturing the whole HD shot

   When I go to capture my HD video (FCP 5.1.4) I always lose the first couple of seconds of the shot (rolling the tape and using "Capture Now"), while FCP is "searching for media."

   I have my Clip Settings set to "Create new clip on Start/Stop."

   Do I need to log every clip individually to capture all of them?
