Don't know. But there is a magazine called Camcorder & Computer Video.
My theory is that long, long ago, Videomaker evolved from Super-8 Filmmaker. :D

    Just my 3 cents worth.

  3. Ha! No, we're not preceeded by Super-8 Filmmaker, though legend has it that Matt York used to subscribe to a magazine that was Super-8 specific.

Some time ago, our Marketing team placed "COMPUTER" above the Videomaker logo on the magazine cover (and only the cover) to try to get placement on newsstands near computer magazines. Theoretically, this got us better newsstand draw, sales sell-through and subscribers (at least the ones who don't just discard the blow-in and bind-in cards, anyhow...) Unfortunately, it served to confuse everyone else, from readers to the copyright office.

So the long story short is that we have always been Videomaker.
