    There was an article written by a guy that filmed High School football games. It was a sizeable article with pictures etc...In that article he also showed how he made some sort of 3 legged stand that he could climb up like a ladder and sit down and shoot the film above the crowd. Any help would be great.

    yea. he just screwed the tripod plate to his butt and then sat on the tripod head.
