editing work flow

   CS4 user - what is the right way to edit wed video, another word caputer whole tape or log clip etc, so what is first second etc, so I can save time.thanks

   It depends on what you are editing. I do a lot of reality-documentary so I grab the whole tape with no exeptions. Often, what I need to stitch a story together isn't a shot I would have logged or captured otherwise.
