First Buy TRIPOD VS STEADICAM MERLIN VS 35mm ADAPTER Help!!

   Hello,

   I Just got the Sony HVR-A1P and im planning my next buy. I will use the camera to shoot mainly short films, maybe Music Videos,  So my question is what should I buy First, the options are: 

   -Steadicam Merlin Only (Without Arm and Vest)   

   -Manfrotto 503HDV Tripod

   -Letus 35mm Adapter 

   please HElpppp Its a tough decision  :)
