Is there an optional flash for the shoe on the VX2000 or VX2100?

Flash for VX2000 and 2100?

I'm guessing you already know there is a snazzy hot shoe on the VX2100, but it's for other functions. In a quick check with Sony and a review of accessories available through B & H Photo, there is a combo video light/auto flash available from Sony (but it isn't listed as compatible with the any of the VX series) and nothing popped up on B & H Photo. It looks like your best alternative is to add-on some sort of video light. You'll have to decide on light output, power source and cost based on what you think you'll need.
