For professional teleserials cameras and software

    Dear friends,

   I want to know what kind of cameras are used to shoot teleserials like star trek, x files, house...and the softwares used to edit, and softwares for special effects...

   Is camera used for teleserials is the same as the one used to make cinemas.

   I am planning to take small documentaries.  with extreme quality... pls help
