Okay, well I bought an hp m8120n computer about 3 months ago and it is running windows xp and it has a tv tuner card and dvr and all that stuff. Well I use it for premiere pro and after effects currently, but I was thinking of stepping up to avid xpress pro. I read that Avid doesn't yet support vista. What should I do? I thought about getting XP Pro, but then I wouldn't be able to use the dvr function because that is through Windows Media Center. Does anyone have any advice they can give me? Does anyone have an idea when Vista will be supported? Thanks

As long as you have a Tuner card you can use any software for the DVR function IE: Nero or Roxio all have that built into it. What kind of Tuner card is it if it is ATI you can download the ATI Brand DVR.
