JVC JY-HD10 capturing video

   How do I get my camera to capture video?  The film editing program lets me rewind the camera and play the video, but no picture shows up thereby not capturing any film.

   NOTE:  I have a IEEE, firewire cable, plugged into the camera & computer.  I currently use Windows Vista.  I am using Adobe Premiere Elements 7.0 to capture.
