In case you didn't notice... we've changed the look of this website. We've gotten rid of the red theme and switched to a more pleasant blue. Please let us know if you experience any problems with the forums.

For a moment, I thought I'd been thrown into WordPress again. The design and color schemes look nice, giving it a more pro-style commercial look. A newbie might be confused finding their way around, but that's basically how they are with just about any new website. Various things that were previously problem have now been improved.

Great work

Ã????Ã??? These characters come up during most post edits.

It was initially a shock to see other than the epected format but so far everything works pretty much as before so I'm cool with it.

The look doesn't make much of a difference to me as long as the feel remains close.

the ads take way too long to load. Makes each page inoperable for too long to hang with.

The ads load last. If they're loading slowly you shouldn't have to wait for them. However that depends upon which web browser you use. It looks like you're using Internet Explorer 7. IE7 doesn't render pages very fast. It tends to wait until every bit of the page has been downloaded.

If you don't mind, give Firefox, Chrome, Opera or Safari a try. Or even upgrade to IE8. I've noticed a huge speed increase between IE7 and IE8. IE8 even has a compatibility mode to handle sites that were designed for IE7 but don't handle IE8 too well.

BTW, for this latest site redesign we did drop support for IE6. Many major sites have also dropped support for IE6.

i like the color scheme, but i still feel like the site is cluttered. I mean, it's not like i have a hard time finding stuff. It just feels cluttered.

It's much better that the change you made last year when the entire functionality changed. My first thought when I looked at it was. "Oh crap! am I going to have to re learn this entire thing again. I just got used to the new one."

Thanks for not doing a complete overhall. The new look is really nice.

Not sure if this deals with the 'new site', but in the latest VM mag, in the article "Little Dolly Coaster", article # 14452, it states that there is "test video taken with the dolly". The addy it gives is "www.videomaker.com/article/14452"

I've found the article, but there is no link to see the test video.

ALSO, it there a cache of searchable test videos on the site? I'm having issues finding this type of section. Â I keep on getting wrangled into the tips and tricks area.

I really do like the new design but one thing is really getting on my nerves.

Before the change, I was able to stay logged in each time I visited the forums. Now I have to log in EVERY time I visit the page.

I've tried this on multiple computers and it is obviously a website issue.
