So I just got FCP and havent used it for 2 years since College. I don't know what I did but now when I drag a clip to the timeline it is only dragging the video and not the audio... can anyone help.

Are you trying to drag an MPEG file or any other type of non MOV or AVI file. If so, no audio will be sent to the timeline. Somehow you much get a separate audio file. If you are using MOV or AVI, I would recommend reading the manual. They have come out with 2 new versions of the software since you used it last.
