PE 3.0 Closes Abruptly in Windows 7

   I've been using Premiere Elements 3.0 in Windows 7 for a weeks with no problems (actually, it was working great). But today, when I launch PE, and select an existing project, everything appears normal, but as soon as the project displays, it minimizes. The PE toolbar button is visible on the Windows taskbar, but I am unable to maximize. Does anyone have any idea why this might be happening?
