If you have an HD camcorder, and you are shooting in HD, unfortunately YouTube will not show off the full beautiful details of your footage.
I would strongly recommend using www.vimeo.com as it is full HD capable, and your footage will look ALOT better. Here is an example of some footage:

Another suggestion would be that if you still want to use YouTube, also use Vimeo and provide a link to your Vimeo video in the description of your YouTube video so if they want to actually go see the HD footage, they can.
