Vegas 9 PE "auto chromakey?"

    I just got Vegas 9 PE for christmas, and have noticed a strage effect while working on my first project.  Every time I drag a clip with a green background onto the timeline, it seems to do an automatic, poor chromakey that makes the video dark an grainy.  When I add the chromakey effect and adjust it, I can get the video to look fine.  Is this "auto-chromakey" normal?  Is there any way to turn it off?

   not sure what you are seeing, it's possible you have the track compositing mode set improperly.  I am not aware of any "auto chromakey" in any Vegas platform.
