Does anyone have a particular camcorder model they would like to see reviewed?  Give us a suggestion, and we'll try to take a look at it.

Well, i think you all  could review something different from everything you've ever done, you know? Maybe an underwater camera? one of those 3D camera?

I dont know, this might be just silly.. 8-P

Start with the current low priced leader and work your way up again through the most recent models from bottom to top, or three at a time one each from low, middle and higher-priced (but not out of range for median income people in video business).

Pay particular attention to the good vs bad qualities of CMOS vs the quickly disappearing WHAT IS THE NAME OF THAT EARLIER ONE? and/or if there will even be anything but CMOS between the remaining six months of '09 and 2010 models/technology.

Also, how to work around some of the issues (if a workaround is possible) of the CMOS oddities.

How to use single chip models and still get decent visuals and audio. What editing systems are compatible, etc.

Probably too much info to fit in a review article, but would be nice to have something a bit more definitive regarding the potential and tradeoffs of various technology found in today's cheap thrills, middle road marvels and upper rung hotties.

If you're the administrator, you could try to get the website developer to create a camcorder review system where members can submit their own camcorder model to the list... that would be cool. I don't know if you'll be able to do it, but it is just an idea.

Here's my video camcorder that could use some reviews - JVC Everio MG-155U.

Well, great minds do think alike I guess, XTR-91 we are indeed working on a collaborative review system, where Videomaker would give it's impressions, and those who own or use the camera can add reviews and tips of their own. The idea is to compile a compendium of reviews about a specific model.

Daryl, you're right, there's not that many reviews on that model But We did review that camcorder here.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone, keep them coming....

I would like to read a review of the JVC GY-HM700U. I am not only interested in the quality of the video and versatility of the camera, but I also would like to know about its workflow with Final Cut Pro.

Finally, is it a significant issue that it's CCDs are 1280X720 rather than 1920x1080?

I would like to see more video reviews, I know they take time, and it would only benefit the web users and not the magazine readers, but ultimately when I decided I wanted to buy the 5D MkII it was based on video reviews.
